अखबार कैसे पढ़ा जाए ?

ये सवाल हर उस परीक्षार्थी के मन में आता हैं जो प्रशासनिक  परीक्षा की तैयारी कर रहा हैं....

द हिन्दू अखबार में मनोरंजन या मसाला खबरे नहीं आती हैं,लेकिन ऐसा भी नहीं हैं के आपको सब पढ़ना हैं। वो भी समय की बाध्यता को देखते हुए हमे अखबार के कुछ हिस्सो को ही पढ़ना हैं जिससे परीक्षा की दृष्टि से हमें उपयोगी बिंदु मिल जाए। आपको सिर्फ इन चार भागो को पढ़ना हैं –

• प्रथम पृष्ठ

• राष्ट्रीय खबरे

• अंतर्राष्ट्रीय खबरे

• व्यापार/कारोबार खबरे

ऐसे कोई भी खबर मत पढ़िए जो परीक्षा की दृष्टि से लाभदायक नहीं हैं। सबसे पहले एक रजिस्टर या कॉपी ले और उसे अर्थशास्त्र,विज्ञान,भूगोल,संविधान आदि विषयानुसार भागो में बाँट ले और सम्बंधित खबर उसी विषय में लिखे, इससे अगर आपको करेंट अफेयर का पुनरावलोकन करने में आसानी होगी।

उदाहरण से समझते हैं इसको

_मान लीजिये आपके शहर में किसी मन्नू लाल की कार दुर्घटना में मृत्यु हो गयी हैं, तो क्या आपको लगता हैं की ये खबर कभी यूपीएससी में पूछी जाएगी?

जवाब नहीं।

दूसरे तथ्य को देखे तो मान लीजिये आज सोना का भाव गिर गया या उठ गया, या शेयर बाजार में जबरदस्त उछाल आया तो ऐसे प्रश्न भी परीक्षा में कभी नहीं आएँगे। कम से कम यूपीएससी में तो कभी नहीं।

समाचार की बजाय मुद्दे पर ध्यान दें:

मान लीजिए कि एक समाचार “शीर्ष सीट के न्यायाधीश को अपनी सीट से हटा दिया गया है” के रूप में शीर्षक है। तो पढ़िए कि – उसने क्या किया कि वह हटा दिया गया, वह कब निकाल दिया गया? “कैसे एक सुप्रीम कोर्ट के न्यायाधीश को हटाया जा सकता है” पर फोकस, “हमारे संविधान को सीट से न्यायाधीश को हटाने के लिए क्या प्रावधान है”, “हमारे राष्ट्र और आगामी पीढ़ी पर क्या प्रभाव पड़ सकता है” इत्यादि ।

कुछ श्रेणियों में समाचार को वर्गीकृत करने की कोशिश करें-

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संबंध, पर्यावरण और जैव विविधता, व्यक्तित्व और पुरस्कार, सरकारी नीतियां और योजनाएं, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संगठनों, आर्थिक नीतियां, विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी, स्वास्थ्य और चिकित्सा, विविध आदि जैसे कुछ श्रेणियों में समाचार या मुद्दों को विभाजित करें।

ऐसा भी नहीं हैं कि आप ने द हिन्दू पढ़ लिया तो आप ने गंगा नहा ली हैं। अखबार में दिए गये तथ्य ही पर्याप्त नहीं है: इस बारे में और अधिक जानने के लिए इंटरनेट का प्रयोग करें ।

समाचार पढ़ने के बाद ये देखे ये किस विषय से सम्बंधित हैं उसे उस विषय में लिख ले ,लेकिन तारीख के अनुसार नहीं विषय के अनुसार अंग्रेजी माध्यम के छात्रों के लिए हिन्दू अखबार को समझना बहुत मुश्किल नहीं हैं ,लेकिन जब बात हिंदी माध्यम के छात्रों की आती हैं तो उनके लिए हिन्दू पढ़ना टेढ़ी खीर बन जाता हैं। देखिये उनको क्या करना चाहिए –

• हिन्दू अखबार में एक मजबूत पकड़ बनाने के लिए आपको कम से कम दो से तीन माह का समय लग जाएगा तो यहाँ आप को आवश्यक हैं एक रजिस्टर और पेन की।

• अब जो बिंदु मैंने आपको ऊपर बताये हैं उसी हिसाब से पढ़िए और जो शब्दावली आपको नहीं समझ आ रही हैं आप उसके लिए डिक्शनरी (ऑनलाइन या ऑफलाइन) का प्रयोग करिये और उन शब्दो को अपने रजिस्टर में लिखिए हो सके तो वाक्यो के साथ उदाहरण के तौर पर समझने के लिए लिखे और उन्हें लगातार दोहराते रहे ,क्यों कि आपको अंग्रेजी भाग भी उत्तीर्ण करना  हैं तो इससे आपका वह भाग धीरे-धीरे तैयार होता जाएगा।

How to read newspaper?

This question comes in the mind of every candidate who is preparing for the administrative examination.

There is no entertainment or masala news in The Hindu newspaper, but it is not that you have to read everything. That too keeping in view the compulsion of time, we have to read only some parts of the newspaper so that we can get useful points from exam point of view. All you have to do is read these four parts –

• Front Page

• National News

• International News

• Business/Business News

Do not read any such news which is not beneficial from the examination point of view. First of all, take a register or copy and divide it into parts according to the subject of economics, science, geography, constitution etc. and write related news in that subject, if it will be easy for you to review the current affair.

Let's understand it by example

Suppose in your city Some Mannu Lal has died in a car accident, so what Do you think this news will ever be asked in UPSC?

no answer.

If you look at the second fact, suppose today the price of gold fell or rose, or there was a huge boom in the stock market, then such questions will never come in the exam. At least never in UPSC.

Focus on the issue rather than the news:

Suppose there is a news headlined as “The top judge has been removed from his seat”. So read that – what did he do that he was fired, when was he fired? Focus on “How a Supreme Court Judge can be removed”, “What is the provision in our constitution to remove a judge from the seat”, “What can be the impact on our nation and future generation” etc.

Try to classify the news in some categories-

Divide the news or issues into certain categories like International Relations, Environment & Biodiversity, Personalities & Awards, Government Policies & Schemes, International Organizations, Economic Policies, Science & Technology, Health & Medicine, Miscellaneous etc.

It is not that if you have read The Hindu, you have taken a bath in the Ganges. The facts given in the newspaper are not enough: use the internet to find out more about it.

After reading the news, see which subject it is related to, write it in that subject, but not according to the date, according to the subject, it is not very difficult for English medium students to understand the Hindu newspaper, but when it comes to Hindi medium students If they come, then reading Hindu becomes a crooked pudding for them. See what they should do –

• It will take you at least two to three months to make a strong hold in the Hindu newspaper, so here you need a register and a pen.

• Now read the points that I have told you above and use the dictionary (online or offline) for the vocabulary you do not understand, and if possible, write those words in your register, with examples in sentences. Write them clearly to understand and keep repeating them continuously, because you have toIf you want to pass the English part as well, then that part of yours will be prepared gradually.
