• यह एक केंद्र प्रायोजित योजना है।
• ICDS को प्रारंभिक बाल्यावस्था देखभाल और विकास करने के लिए 2 अक्टूबर 1975 को शुरू किया गया था।
• इसमें संबंधित गांव से आंगनवाड़ी और संबंधित कार्यकर्त्ताओं को जोड़ा जाएगा।
उद्देश्य-
• छोटे बच्चों (0-3 वर्ष) में अल्पपोषण को कम करना।
• बच्चे के समुचित मनोवैज्ञानिक शारीरिक एवम् सामाजिक विकास की नींव रखना।
• मृत्यु, रूग्णता, कुपोषण, स्कूल छोड़ना आदि घटनाओं को कम करना।
• बाल विकास प्रोत्साहन हेतु विभिन्न विभागों के मध्य नीति और कार्यान्वयन का समन्वय।
