● These are group of infections that are most common among marginalised communities in developing regions of Africa, Asia and Americas.
● Cause by :- Viruses, bacteria, protozoa and parasitic worms.
● Common in tropical areas where people do not have access to clean water or safe ways to dispose of human waste
● Funding for research on this diseases is very low
● Eg. Snakebite Envenomation, scabies, yaws, trachoma, Chagas Disease, Lymphatic Filariasis (A parasitic NTD aka hathipaon), Visceral Leishmaniasis (aka kala azar)
