मार्तंडसूर्य मंदिर ।।

 मार्तंड (सूर्य देव) मंदिर का निर्माण कर्कोटा राजवंश के तीसरे शासक ललितादित्य मुक्तापीड़ा ने 8वीं शताब्दी ईस्वी में करवाया था। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि इसे 725-756 सीई के दौरान बनाया गया था, जो सूर्य भगवान (हिंदू धर्म में प्रमुख सौर देवता) को समर्पित है। कहा जाता है कि मंदिर की नींव 370-500 सीई के आसपास रही है, कुछ लोगों का मानना ​​है कि मंदिर का निर्माण राणादित्य के साथ शुरू हुआ था।

 जबकि यह माना जाता है कि मंदिर का निर्माण 725-756 ईस्वी के बीच हुआ था, मंदिर की नींव लगभग 370-500 ईस्वी पूर्व की है, कुछ लोगों ने मंदिर के निर्माण को राजा रणदित्य के साथ शुरू करने का श्रेय दिया है, जिन्होंने 223 सीई के आसपास कश्मीर पर शासन किया था। .

  मुख्य मंदिर के चारों ओर छोटे पैनलों के निर्माण का श्रेय उनकी पत्नी रानी अमृतप्रभा को दिया जाता है।

 ऐसा माना जाता है कि राजा रणदित्य ने बाबुल नामक शहर में अपने शाही महल के सामने मार्तंडेश्वरी मंदिर का निर्माण किया था।

 कुछ का यह भी मानना ​​है कि मार्तंड सूर्य मंदिर की नींव 370 और 500 CE के बीच रखी गई थी।

 कुछ का दावा है कि समधिमती आर्यराजा (35 ईसा पूर्व) ने मार्तंड सूर्य मंदिर का निर्माण किया था।

 15 वीं शताब्दी की शुरुआत में मुस्लिम शासक सिकंदर बटशिकन के आदेश पर मंदिर को पूरी तरह से नष्ट कर दिया गया था, जिसमें विध्वंस एक साल तक चला था। अब खंडहर में, मंदिर भारतीय राज्य जम्मू और कश्मीर में अनंतनाग से पांच मील की दूरी पर स्थित है ।

Martand (Sun God) Temple was built by the third ruler of the Karkota Dynasty, Lalitaditya Muktapida, in the 8th century CE. It is said to have been built during 725-756 CE., dedicated to Sun God (the chief solar deity in Hinduism). The foundation of the temple is said to have been around since 370-500 CE, with some attributing the construction of the temple to have begun with Ranaditya.

 The construction of smaller panels around the main shrine is attributed to Queen Amritprabha, his wife. 

It is believed that King Ranaditya built Martandeshwari temple in front of his Royal Palace in the city called Babul.

Some also believe that the foundation of Martand Surya Mandir was laid as early as between 370 and 500 CE. 

Few claim that Samdhimati Aryaraja (35 BCE) built the Martand Surya Mandir.

The temple was completely destroyed on the orders of Muslim ruler Sikandar Butshikan in the early 15th century, with demolition lasting a year. Now in ruins, the temple is located five miles from Anantnag in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.
